Mary Help of Christians Catholic School in Parkland, Florida has an opening for a qualified Middle School ELA Teacher (6th -7th), for the upcoming 2024 - 25 school year. This candidate can help students learn, apply higher order thinking skills, and is qualified to teach elementary school. This teacher will be required to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for an elementary school teacher and performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of experience.

Qualifications:

• BS/BA Degree in Elementary Education, English, or related field.
• Florida department of Education English 5-9 teaching certificate, temporary or professional required.
• Strong presentation skills with use of instructional technologies.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Proficiency with Apple technologies just as iPad and proficiency in Canvas, Plus Portals, MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
• Excellent oral and written English-language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
• Good spelling and grammar required.
• Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
• Must have knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
