St. Anne Catholic Grade School seeks an enthusiastic and highly talented science teacher. The successful candidate will teach science to students in grades 6-8 and be responsible for homeroom and other duties as assigned by the principal. The candidate should possess a BA/BS degree (master's degree preferred) and state certification (DX). Catechist certification and Protecting God's Children required; however, certification can be obtained throughout the year.
The successful candidate must also:
- demonstrate effective planning skills by preparing lessons aligned to state standards
- effectively integrate technology into instruction and learning activities
- develop and use multiple forms of assessment and evaluation to ensure student growth
- establish a system of classroom management that promotes self-direction, self-regulation, and a positive self-image
- maintain an active and engaging learning environment
- communicate professionally and effectively with students, parents, faculty, and administration
