POSITION SUMMARY
The Foster Grandparent Program Coordinator is responsible for providing direct assistance in a variety of areas including outreach and administrative support related to the overall efficient programmatic operations of the federal and state funded Foster Grandparent Program (FGP) of Oakland County.
REPORTS TO: Foster Grandparent Program Manager
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Bachelor’s degree in human services related field preferred or equivalent combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Minimally two years’ experience in a senior service and/or volunteer management program preferred.
  • Passion for working with older adult population required; knowledge of community resources/contacts for older adults preferred.
  • Position requires a highly organized, assertive manner with strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with people of varying economic and cultural backgrounds.
  • Position requires computer (Microsoft Office) proficiencies, working knowledge of Zoom platform, creative problem solving and effective time management skills.
  • Knowledge of confidentiality and HIPAA compliance preferred.
  • Successful completion of initial and on-going employment screens, including, but not limited to criminal background, sex offender, drug screen, OIG, valid Michigan driver’s license, abuse and neglect and vehicle record check as required and reliable transportation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SERVICES:
  • Assist FGP Program Manager to provide day-to-day administration of program.
  • Assure program compliance with funding and programming requirements of the AmeriCorps Seniors, Michigan Healthy Aging Services Administration and other funding sources.
  • Assist Program Manager to recruit and support volunteers.
  • Establish and maintain memorandums of understanding with volunteer stations, process volunteer timesheets, in-kind reports, and line up monthly in-person speakers.
  • Assist Program Manager in developing annual program goals and objectives in order to maintain program quality.
Services:
  • Oversee the collection of program data and assist the Program Manager with reporting.
  • Assist in planning and implementing an annual volunteer recognition event and ongoing activities to recognize the contributions of individual volunteers with the Program Manager.
  • Assure program accountability and accuracy through the establishment and maintenance of program and volunteer records.
  • Provide support services to the Program Manager including attending meetings and conducting meetings on behalf of the Program Manager as needed; attend all volunteer events and training as needed.
  • Conduct oneself in an ethical, mature and professional manner with honesty and integrity, welcoming clients, coworkers and other stakeholders with dignity and respect.
  • Other duties as assigned by the FGP Program Manager.
  • Adhere to the Mission, Values, and Vision of CCSEM and teachings of the Catholic Church.
WORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS & TRAVEL:
This job operates in a professional office environment and includes approximately 25% travel within Oakland County. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This position would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Position Classification, Type & Expected Hours of Work:

This is a 15-20hour part-time position. Days and hours of work are within the hours of Senior Volunteer service operations, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
