Archdiocese Of Denver is Hiring a Middle school teacher Near Lakewood, CO

Job Details

Description

St. Bernadette. This unique role is a 6th & 7th grade combination, self-contained, middle-school

classroom teaching position. The person in this role will be responsible for helping to build our

middle school program establishing strong and positive middle school culture, architecting systems

and structures upon which the middle school can grow, and building a foundation of academic

excellence.

Unlike many other middle school positions that are content-specific, this position is well-suited to an

experienced generalist, as this teacher is responsible for the primary classroom instruction of the core components of the appropriate

Archdiocese of Denver 6th & 7th Grade Curricula for English Language Arts (ELA), Math, Science, Social

Studies, and Theology. This teacher will be consistently collaborating with the middle school team and the principal throughout the

school to ensure consistency of instructional practice and a thriving school environment.

structures from scratch to establish a firm foundation for our new middle school program.

o A deep love for middle-school age students (over and above any particular content area)

o Low-stress, flexible, and unflappable in the face of challenges and unexpected circumstances.

o Experience with integrating SEL (Social Emotional Learning) & Restorative Practices into student discipline.

o Embodies a growth mindset and a desire to develop as an educator through feedback & coaching.

o Archdiocese of Denver Safe Environment Training’ and passage of Criminal Background Check.
