Assistant Principal Job Description:

The Queen of the Rosary School, part of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish, is searching for a passionate and committed candidate to assume the part-time role of Assistant Principal. The Assistant Principal's primary job is to support the Principal in the school's day-to-day operations and overall management. A preferred applicant is service-oriented and passionate about the mission of the School and parish. Other skills include being flexible, efficient, highly organized, a strong communicator, and the ability to manage various tasks and responsibilities. You must have or being working towards a Type 75 administrative certificate and Danileson certifcation.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Works with Athletic Program and Parents Club as the liaison with the school.
• Assists in the day-to-day building administration and the safety and welfare of students, staff, volunteers, and activities.
• Ensures a safe, pleasant, and effective educational atmosphere.
• Provides discipline as necessary and enforces school policy.
• Supports the Principal in setting the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the staff within the school.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies.
• Works with the local Fire and Police Department in setting up drills.
• Assists with substitute coverage when needed.
• Supervisor of Lunch and Recess Periods.
• Develops school schedules and sets teacher and student schedules.
• Assists with planning faculty and professional development days.
