The Position

The Arch Capital Services Finance Business Systems team is looking for a Senior Project Manager “PM” who has previously been part of providing project oversight services for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementations. The Senior PM will provide PM services for various implementation workstreams during our multi-year ERP implementation program and on-going finance projects once the ERP system is implemented.

This position can be remote. Up to 20% travel as needed. 

Job Responsibilities

• Manage cross-functional ERP workstreams and subsequent corporate finance projects once the ERP program is implemented
• Provide project management support on all assigned initiatives including, but not limited to: project plan creation and updating, weekly status reporting, and tracking actuals to plan
• Work with ERP workstream leads/project business owners to prepare scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, work plan schedules and milestones, quality metrics, risk identification, and communication needs
• Coordinate task assignments that are in alignment with the project plan
• Communicate project and delivery status to our team members, and other stakeholders
• Effectively plan and facilitate meetings to reach conclusions/consensus
• Monitor workstreams/projects and solve problems to keep them moving forward
• Identify and track risks, actions, issues, decisions, dependencies, and synergies to ensure successful diligence and integration
• Lead project owners of different reporting levels, workstreams, and functions to inspire alignment, accountability, and ensure overall project goals are being met
• Contribute to and/or draft status and project deliverable/artifact review reports
• Present findings to the project team and/or executive leadership bodies
• Escalate issues and open items as appropriate
• Effectively collaborate with other team members, key resources, and stakeholders

Required Skills/Experience

• 7 years of project management experience
• Previous experience in ERP system implementations
• Experience facilitating meetings and public speaking with large groups
• Ability to balance multiple assignments and achieve quality results in a timely manner
• Ability to use problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills to identify project risks/issues and provide recommendations to address them
• Results oriented, pragmatic executor
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing business requirements and manage to tight deadlines.
• Experience in working in a team environment and establishing collaborative relationships with different stakeholders
• Advanced proficiency in all MS applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)

Desired Skills/Experience

• Working knowledge of core insurance financial concepts
• Experience with managing projects using Smartsheet 
• Superior verbal and written communication skills including the ability to build presentations to communicate complex topics in straightforward terms.
• Strong presence, poise, and persuasiveness to quickly establish a high level of credibility at all levels
• Strong business and financial acumen

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Business Administration
• Project, Program, and/or Agile certification
