Job Duties:

• Learn full cycle Accounts Receivable process including invoicing, cash application, resolving collections issues, and reconciling general ledger and sub-ledger.
• Learn full cycle Accounts Payable process including matching receipts, updating A/P, and reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger, and steel vendor reconciliation and accounts payable supplier issues, process checks as required.
• Support month end closings through journal entries, accruals, inter-company reconciliations.
• Learn procurement of requisitions and purchase orders.
• Ensure all purchase orders and service contracts received are accurate and in accordance with Purchasing policy.
• Learn to process government remittances such as payroll taxes, EHT, WSIB, GST, statistical surveys, etc.
• Perform administrative duties including but limited to: filing, managing month end documentation and other duties as assigned.
• Provide support in the internal audit process
• Assist in creation of Standard Operating Procedures for various policies and tasks within finance.
