Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

Overall Responsibility:

Responsible for supervising maintenance staff, and will perform general building and property maintenance. Maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems and equipment, and coordinate the day to day operation of the maintenance department.

Accountabilities:

• Maintenance of spare parts management including RFQ, price analysis, purchasing, evaluate stock levels.
• Assist with increasing product profitability through the continual improvement of manufacturing and work processes.
• Provide manufacturing and technical knowledge and skills to support all aspects of production ensuring profitable, on-time, quality product to customers while maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.
• Implementation and maintenance of the Preventive Maintenance programs.
• Assist with the planning and implementation of changes to machinery and equipment and any associated scheduling and inventory requirements in conjunction with the Production and Engineering.
• Assist with scheduling and implementation of Continuous Improvement projects in conjunction with the Production and Engineering team.
• Provide training to co-workers and help maintain Standard Operating Procedures, Best Practices and Job Safe Practices to ensure the transfer of knowledge to others.
• Repairs and Maintenance budget: Prepare budget and follow-up on spendings. Define cost reductions initiatives and implement them.
• Analyze machine downtimes to find trends. Set up projects to reduce the machine downtime in order to improve OEE.
• Manage work order system: create, distribute and follow-up on work orders within the maintenance team.
• Asset management: Assist in yearly inventory count of assets (including spare parts).

Skills, Knowledge, and Personal Traits:

• 3 years of experience in a Maintenance Leadership role working within a Manufacturing Environment
• Experience working with Robotics, PLC (Siemens, Ladder Logic, ABB/Allen Bradley, etc.)
• Grade 12 or GED required. College degree preferred (Technology or Engineer focus)

• Fulfill all Health and Safety & Environmental responsibilities as identified in the HSE Management Standards, ISO 14001 & 45001 Management Systems.

• Ensure QMS conforms to the requirements identified in IATF 16949 and AMTB Process Map.

• Promotes adherence of AMTB's Core Values

• Fulfill all responsibilities as identified in the Employee Handbook.

• Other duties as assigned.
