Currently, we are looking for a Carrier Sales Representative - Dedicated Recruiting to join the ArcBest team. The Carrier Sales Representative - Dedicated Recruiting employs sales skills in recruiting contract carriers to provide power only services that can be utilized to execute cost-effective capacity for ArcBest’s Dedicated service.
This position requires engaging contract carriers and negotiating on cost and service-levels while transforming carrier objections into retained capacity.
Your contribution may include :
- Demonstrate a practical and working knowledge of logistics and sales.
- Create a contract carrier lead list utilizing various databases.
- Identify carrier needs and transform into consistent profitable capacity.
- Utilize RITE sales strategies to convert contract carriers into power only capacity providers.
- Exceed daily activity metrics.
- Manage communication between prospective carriers and Dedicated operations.
- Manage all forms of communication effectively.
- Exhibit superior negotiation skills in securing capacity and rates.
- Collaborate with carriers to resolve issues.
- Establish internal relationships within ArcBest Dedicated to create trust.
- Establish and maintain relationships with carriers to expand capacity opportunities.
- Develop new carrier relationships to be converted into Dedicated capacity.
- Adhere to internal work processes and standard operating procedures.
- Work with management to develop a long-term strategy to ensure success and growth.
- Identify and report problems in operational systems and processes.
- Respond in a timely manner to external and internal customer inquiries.
- Create peace-of-mind by being a trusted, creative problem solver who is easy to do business with.
- Other duties and projects, as needed.
As the Carrier Sales Representative - Dedicated Recruiting , you will be a member of the ArcBest Carrier Sales team. General hours of operation are 6 : 30 am 7 : 00 pm with over time being generated based on customer demand.
