We are seeking a dedicated Golf Course Superintendent to oversee the maintenance and care of our grounds and landscaping. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and possess strong leadership skills to manage a team effectively.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of groundskeepers, gardeners, and tree care specialists
• Build, maintain, and irrigate landscapes to ensure they are well-kept and visually appealing
• Oversee lawn care activities including mowing, edging, and fertilizing
• Develop and implement landscaping plans to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the property
• Ensure proper maintenance of all gardening equipment and tools
• Monitor plant health and recommend treatments as needed
• Coordinate with external vendors for specialized services when required
• Manage scheduling for team members
• Perform other duties as directed by Director of Agronomy

Qualifications/Skills:

• Demonstrated leadership abilities in supervising and leading a team in groundskeeping and construction projects
• Strong background in landscape maintenance, with a focus on lawn care, tree care, and gardening
• Proficiency in irrigation systems and horticulture practices
• Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and vendors effectively
• Previous experience in overseeing maintenance operations and ensuring high standards of quality and aesthetics
• Personable, positive & professional attitude

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Must be able to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to be on feet for long periods of time, outside in all types of weather conditions
• Be able to lift 50 lbs. multiple times a day
• This position requires stooping, kneeling, bending, turning and reaching
