You are a friendly, knowledgeable and empathetic veterinary technician, perhaps with a weird hobby or interesting story. You recognize the value of the team above the individual and are ready to encourage, laugh, cry and play as a vital member of a growing, nurturing work family. You thrive in an environment that is maturing, are ready to grow and eager to be part of a group that celebrates that with you.

Who are we?

We are a quirky, funny mix of introverts and party animals that thrive on spending time together. We are passionate about our families (work, home and fur), coffee, music, and our mental and physical health. We take the time to learn about each other, our patients and our clients. We love walking our puppy and kitten owners through the preventative care protocols and blowing the minds of the pet parents who never knew cats needed dental care or dogs could love going to the vet. We like a little friendly competition and believe that each person brings a unique and valuable experience to our clinic.

We are focused on the longevity of our productive careers, taking the time we need to recharge so that we are present and ready to give our clients and patients the attention and energy they deserve. Our leaders are focused on the growth, happiness and the overall well-being of their team, themselves and the practice.

Our practice and facility:

Dundee Veterinary Clinic is privately owned by our two women doctors, Leslie Karkheck and Marian Schenk. We are a small animal outpatient practice, equipped with the diagnostic and treatment tools needed for the urgent and routine care of our patients. We have IDEXX in-house blood and urine machines, diagnostic ultrasound, digital radiography and full monitoring capacity in both our surgical and new dental treatment areas. We provide full mouth dental radiography for every dentistry patient. We are passionate about perioperative anesthetic preparation and recovery. Our surgical and dental monitoring is comprehensive, including capnography. We carefully maintain body temperature with warm air and/or water circulation and support our patients fully in recovery. We routinely perform dental and soft tissue surgical procedures and are prepared to address emergency situations. We like difficult or complicated cases and are diligent about finding the answers needed. We focus our client experience on understanding, setting expectations, acknowledging their needs and communicating ours. We focus on establishing long term relationships with our clients and our patients by supporting low stress handling practices.
