We are looking for Indirect Buyer

This role is responsible for purchasing and managing spend for MRO / Indirect category within the AMTB Procurement Organization. This position may lead and facilitate the strategic sourcing process for MRO / Indirect spend categories to include market and industry analysis, supplier research and review, category and supplier segmentation, sourcing events, analysis, negotiations, contracting and implementation. Ensuring the most optimal terms and conditions for AMTB without any negative impact to the service or quality or any disruption on AMTB's production chain.

Accountabilities:

• Advanced knowledge in personal computers, standard corporate software, and applicable systems skills required Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, CMS, database programs-- KMS, Data 3, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Excellent negotiation skills to optimize value of goods and services
• Strong negotiation skills (Freight Agreements, IT Agreements, Fork Trucks etc.)
• Thorough knowledge of purchasing and negotiating principles with regards to purchase orders, service, and vendor contracts, combined with the ability to negotiate with integrity
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and respond to unforeseen requests
• Critical Thinking Skills to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
• Judgment and decision-making skills to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
• Knowledge of appropriate controls regarding procurement cycle policies
• Familiar with alternate vendor sourcing techniques
• Able to work scheduled/unscheduled overtime as required.
• Able to work in various locations/regions within the plants as demands of the business change.
• Excellent mathematical, organizational and communication skills
• Strong team player with ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams.

Skills, Requirements, and Personal Traits:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
• Previous experience (minimum 5 years) in a manufacturing environment (Automotive preferred)
• Proficient with MS Office products, Advance Excel is required
• Familiarity with AS400 and CMS400 accounting systems is preferred
• Advanced excel skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset is required for this role
