The Community Services Manager plans and implements meaningful and fun activities for people enrolled in the Community Habilitation and Respite/Recreation Programs in Orleans County. They monitor and evaluate program activities to ensure they are engaging and provided according to quality and compliance standards. They provide supervision and support to direct support staff.

WHAT WOULD I BE DOING?

• Oversee the Community Habilitation Program in Orleans County. Plan supports and services that help those enrolled learn new skills and live more independently in their community. Make a lasting difference in the lives of people we support!
• Oversee the Respite/Recreation Program in Orleans County. Explore recreation opportunities for children and adults to participate in. Collaborate with community resources to develop relationships. Plan and participate in fun events and activities!
• Develop on site activities that are engaging and in line the interests and needs of those in the program. A great opportunity to be creative!
• Lead a great team of direct support professionals to provide quality services to program participants.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:

• Degree in a health or human services field preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• At least 1 year experience working with people developmental disabilities.
• Valid NYS driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
