As a BCaBA you will be responsible for working with the BCABA in order to provide Applied Behavior Analysis and Behavioral Interventions services for all clients of BARC Housing in all settings. The BCABA will ensure program compliance with agency and regulatory standards and procedures including, but not limited to, AHCA Guidelines and CARF Standards. The BCABA will participate in the development of new programs to meet identified needs and will develop program procedures and practices along with assuring appropriate staff receive the necessary training.

What does a BCaBA do?

• To observe individuals, review data and progress and revise programs based on the individuals' performance
• Participate in the Habilitation Plan development by working with the Behavior Assistants to assure skill and behavioral assessments on each client are reflected In the objectives.
• Identify behaviors targeted for acquisition, reduction, and/or elimination.
• Write all skill acquisition and behavioral goals.
• Conduct functional assessments of targeted behavior problems.
• Have a thorough understanding and a working knowledge of the survey procedures for ICF/DDs
• Provide intensive training, supervision, and formal monitoring of program implementation
• To prescribe, design, implement, revise and monitor behavior programs based upon identified functions of challenging behaviors.
• Work with all appropriate disciplines and staff when implementing new programs or special projects.
• Provide instruction to staff to ensure the proper implementation of the prescribed behavior programs.
• Become certified as a Trainer and provide Professional Crisis Management Training
• Cover the on call responsibilities of the BCBA.

What are the requirements?

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1-3 years of experience required. 
• Must be board certified Assistant Behavior Analyst.
