The Sr. Copywriter is the point person on all written marketing communications. Includes: writing and managing a variety of communications, such as customer, agent, and employee newsletters and magazines, emails, blog posts, and other collateral. Working with our Public Relations firm, they will create or edit "Op Editorials" and articles on behalf of subject matter experts. They demonstrate a strong interest in business writing and can effectively apply Arbella's brand voice, tone, and personality through compelling copy.

The Sr. Copywriter role includes writing and reviewing marketing materials and technical documents for correct grammar, spelling and punctuation, clarity of written content, and ensuring that the documents adhere to the company's style guide. This role is also responsible for writing and editing the company's website content, adhering to SEO best practices. Sr. Copywriter will plan and manage well-defined communication projects or sub-projects. This includes support of project schedules, status reporting, project communication, and information gathering. This person is an engaged self-starter, motivated, has great attention to detail, is willing to support colleagues with a variety of marketing and communications work, and is eager to grow and learn. To thrive in this role, you will need to communicate well, be nimble and adaptive, highly organized, and maintain a can-do attitude.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages various communications and supports marketing initiatives by delivering powerful, action-oriented outcomes for assigned programs to reach agents, customers, and employees.
•Demonstrate excellent writing skills and ability to reflect Arbella's brand voice
•Understand the subtleties and challenges of positioning copy for a variety of audiences
•Write and manage Trade Winds and Signals, Arbella's digital agent magazines and other agent newsletters and updates
•Oversee the corporate Diversity and Inclusion employee newsletter and other internal copywriting initiatives
•Leads the writing, coordination and production of the Company's annual report and the Company's Charitable Foundation annual report
•In partnership with our Public Relations firm, brainstorm ideas and media pitches to include writing and editing of Op Eds and articles for industry publications
•Write, edit, and publish content for Arbella.com and create ideas for new content on a regular basis; this also includes learning how to use Drupal, our Content Management System
•Write agent and customer email communications, including conducting intake meetings with business subject matter experts
•Support the social media team on content creation, planning, and execution using our social media platform, Sprinklr
•Confidently work face-to-face with agents, underwriters, and employees at all levels, including Arbella's Executive Team
•Keep consistent copy standards and style
•Actively participate in weekly public relations calls, weekly in-person traffic meetings and all other required meetings
•Willingness and eagerness to support the department through preparation and participation in agent events, meetings, holiday parties, and sponsorship/partnership events (occasionally taking place outside of work hours; must have access to vehicle)
Experience and Qualifications:
•Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and minimum 3 years of copywriting experience on an active marketing communications team
•Must have excellent writing skills and provide a portfolio of writing samples
•Strong understanding of brand positioning/strategy, corporate marketing,
digital and social media
•Applicable experience writing powerful, compelling marketing copy
•Must have excellent project management skills and be highly organized
•Self-starter who enjoys providing support to a dynamic team
•Ability to multi-task and work in a highly visible and fast-paced environment
Technical Skills/Knowledge:
•Microsoft Office Suite
•Strong understanding of SEO to increase website visibility
•Willingness to learn other software as needed
