ARAG North America is Hiring a Graphic Designer Near Des Moines, IA

Purpose

Are you a creative, visual storyteller? Does connecting a brand’s visual identity with current, fresh collateral designs excite you? Can you look at data and easily develop a graphic concept to help your audience digest the information? ARAG is hiring a Graphic Designer! This person will conceptualize and produce compelling, relevant and on-brand graphic designs for all marketing materials and manage the ARAG logo and visual brand to present a consistent corporate image.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as the day-to-day lead for visual brand and brand-related execution.
  • Accurately interprets marketing colleagues’ needs and translates those requirements into visual solutions.
  • Produces visual solutions for use in direct mail, social media, web, email and video campaigns.
  • Provides consultation for art direction and contributes ideas and design to the overall creative process including conceptualization, storyboarding, animating, editing and typography.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support visual messaging needs of the business.
  • Execute the merging of data into design documents for visual storytelling through business reports and client communications.
  • Ensures quality execution and management of ARAG logo and brand standards across all media executions including print, email, social media, web and video.
  • Serves as positive role model by representing ARAG at its Best.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of both print and digital design standards is required.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • General knowledge of video production and techniques is highly preferred.

Skills

  • A demonstrated design portfolio with illustration skills preferred.
  • Ability to translate creative executions across traditional and digital media.
  • Possess creative flair, originality and ability to think outside the box.
  • Ability to put yourself in the mind of a consumer and analyze how to best illustrate the message.
  • Experience working with data and merging details into reports, graphs, and other visuals to help tell the story of our work.
  • Experience with printing press specifications and packaging files for print vendors.
  • Experience designing digital content, specifically best practices for email, social media, and web.
  • The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with other team members.
  • Strong abilities in managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Time management and prioritization are keys to success in this role.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Must be able to work effectively and comfortably in team settings and one-on-one situations.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design, marketing, advertising or communications from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • 1 of experience in the field of graphic design.

  • None required.
