About Us:

We are in search of compassionate, innovative, and experienced In-Person and Online Art Instructors to join our team on a contract basis, to deliver impactful private art lessons to students with diverse learning requirements.

Position Overview:
As a contract Art Instructor with the Arabesque Conservatory of Music, you will offer individual art instruction to students with special needs, available both at their homes and via online sessions. This role demands flexibility and creativity, as you will adapt to meet the distinct creative interests and requirements of each student, fostering an atmosphere of support and encouragement. Instructors are encouraged to engage a wide range of artistic mediums and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement personalized art lesson plans that address the specific needs, interests, and aspirations of each student.
• Teach a variety of art techniques and concepts, modifying your approach to suit each student’s learning style and capabilities.
• Establish a supportive, positive, and imaginative environment that motivates student engagement and artistic expression.
• Assess and document student progress, refining lesson plans as needed to promote continued artistic development.
• Maintain regular communication with parents, guardians, and the academic team about students' progress and participation.
• Conduct in-home visits for personal art sessions and facilitate effective online art classes.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest art education methods and strategies appropriate for students with special needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Art, Art Education, Special Education, or related discipline.
• Prior experience in teaching art to students with special needs is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in a range of art mediums and techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, patience, and organizational abilities.
• Flexibility in teaching methods to cater to diverse needs and interests of students.
• Must have reliable transportation for in-home sessions.
• Must have access to dependable internet and a computer for online sessions.
• Ready to commit to a contract position with flexible hours.
