Aptive is Hiring a Workforce Development Coordinator Near Alexandria, VA

Job Summary

Aptive is requesting a junior-level hire to serve as a Workforce Development (WD) Coordinator in Aptive’s Corporate Shared Services.

This position will require working a hybrid schedule at Aptive's office in Alexandria, VA.

Primary Responsibilities

In this role, the Coordinator will, at a minimum, be responsible for the following:

  • Serve as a liaison to other Departments and stakeholders, up the Executive level, helping to implement employee engagement and quality initiatives.
  • Develop and manage a Buddy program and integrate Aptive employee engagement best practices.
  • Assist with Aptive orientation.
  • Coordinate and assist with all Aptive events.
  • Assist with designing and implementing remote employee activities.
  • Assist in designing initiatives that boost morale, foster a culture of learning and demonstrate our commitment to Aptive staff development.
  • Work with key stakeholders to create and manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Taking meeting minutes, working with stakeholders to track action items.
  • Manage all Jira requests, which also includes facilities.
  • Track and measure all WD activities to assess the return on investment, make informed decisions and continuously refine our workforce development strategies.
  • Research and apply for relevant industry awards.
  • Serve as office manager to support facilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or a combination of education, training, and experience which provides the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the positions duties and responsibilities.
  • At least three years of experience in areas such as Employee engagement, workforce development and/or human capital experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Proven ability to take initiative, creatively problem solve and collaborate in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to create and foster relationships with various stakeholders at varying levels.
  • Ability to work efficiently across a team to reach specific measured outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation creation.

  • Experience with Jira.
  • Project management experience.
