Job Summary

Aptive Resources, in partnership with the Fayetteville VA Medical Center, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Primary Care Physician Assistant to join our team. As a Primary Care Physician Assistant, you will provide comprehensive family practice consultative services to Veterans in an outpatient setting. Your role will involve conducting patient assessments, performing diagnostic work-ups, and collaborating with the primary care team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am-5pm

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including health history, physical examination, and diagnostic evaluations.
• Provide patient education on preventive care, treatment options, and management of chronic conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests as necessary, and collaborate with physicians to develop treatment plans or referrals.
• Record and document all patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner using the electronic comprehensive patient record system (CPRS).
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and preferences.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and ensure continuity of care.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to facilitate communication and streamline patient care processes.
• Adhere to VA policies, procedures, and standards of care to ensure compliance and quality of service delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current, unencumbered license to practice as a Physician Assistant in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
• United States citizenship.
• Certification in VHA-approved Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in family practice within the last five years..
