Job Summary

Aptive Resources is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the VA Medical Clinic in Tuba City, AZ VA Medical Clinic in Polacca, AZ and Hopi Veterans Clinic. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive healthcare services to our nation's veterans. You will work Monday through Friday, ensuring that patients receive the care they need during regular business hours.

Position will be a float position between three different clinics serving the Veteran community. Shift will consist of two (2) days at the Tuba City, AZ VA Medical Clinic, two (2) days at the Hopi Veterans Clinic, and one (1) day at the Polacca, AZ VA Medical Clinic. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Holistically identify issues affecting a patient’s health and quality of life.
  • Diagnose and treat common health conditions, ensuring prompt and effective care.
  • Diagnose and treat minor injuries, providing immediate medical attention when necessary.
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests to aid in the diagnosis and treatment process.
  • Prescribe drugs as needed, adhering to all regulatory guidelines and best practices.
  • Make referrals to specialists when appropriate, coordinating care across healthcare providers.
  • Act as a primary care provider for assigned patients, establishing strong patient-provider relationships and delivering personalized care plans.
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Nurse Practitioner-focused graduate master's or doctoral nursing program.
  • Nurse Practitioner Board Certification, demonstrating advanced clinical knowledge and skills. Alongside at least 1 year of Nurse Practitioner experience in: Primary Care, Family Practice, or Internal Medicine. Having experience in treating mental health would be a bonus.
  • Valid and unrestricted licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in any state.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
