Our DOD – Aerospace client is looking to fill a Senior Embedded Software Engineer position that just opened in Gilbert, AZ – this is a Direct Hire/Permanent opportunity. In this role you will develop high quality software, perform software unit testing, perform coding, among other responsibilities. To be considered, you will have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering and 10 years of experience.

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and implementing BSPs, bootloaders, and drivers for VxWorks 7
• Developing high quality software using a rigorous development process
• Performing software unit testing using the Unity framework
• Performing code coverage using Gcov and other tools
• Review and provide feedback on software requirements from a verification perspective
• Providing guidance to less senior software engineers
• Create kernel, bootloader, and DKM projects with Wind River Workbench using VxWorks 7.0
• Work with external customers and internal team members to solve complex software and system issues
• Perform revision control
• Create VDDs and software releases

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering.
• Requires 10 years of experience in embedded software engineering
• Strong development experience using C programming language
• In-depth knowledge of Wind River Workbench and VxWorks 7.0
• Experience developing software test cases
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with little supervision
