Apptronik is Hiring a Document Controls Manager Near Austin, TX
Responsibilities:
Managing the logging, reproducing, distributing, storing, retrieving, and updating of electronic and hardcopy versions of documents such as Bills of Material, Procedures, Work Instructions, and templates. Additionally responsible for the maintenance of the Quality Management System (Arena), NCMRs, Deviations, CAPAs, System improvements, Work, and all associated documents
Ensures documents are properly reviewed, updated, approved, and released to remain in control
Supports QMS Management Reviews, taking minutes and tracking actions
Ensure that document release packages are accurate, complete, and current and that all documents are maintained and controlled
Responsible for controlling and issuing part numbers for newly created parts or documents and tracking the history, revision levels and status through the life of the parts/documents
Develop new processes to support document and configuration control requirements
Serve as the document control focal point for assigned customer projects
Select and develop personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function
Responsible for controlling and maintaining the engineering change and documentation tracking process with emphasis on Bills of Material (BOM's), parts masters, specifications, drawings, and documentation to ensure appropriate changes are documented
Create, implement, and finalize engineering change orders (ECO's) and makes system changes
Responsible for maintaining documents through the entire project lifecycle, from inception through to handover to Operations – ensuring that accurate information is distributed throughout the organization, on time, to the people who need it
Reviewing documents and making revisions for accuracy
Liaising with project team members to ensure documents meet requirements
Training document specialists and other employees on document systems
Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends
Continuously demonstrate the principles of professional domain competency and governance
Qualifications:
Extensive Information Management and Document Management experience in technology, medical device, or automotive industry
Extensive experience in structuring Bills of Material
Strong Electronic Document Management System (Arena) experience
Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
Strong presentation skills, with experience of presenting to key stakeholder groups
Industry-specific technical knowledge, including understanding of industry terms, policies and processes
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders at different levels within client organization
Ability to foresee risk, identify dependencies and managing them in advance
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
