Position Summary:
The purpose of this role will be to provide technical guidance and expertise which will result in successful technical solutions being implemented with D365 Finance and Operations projects. This position primarily is to handle development needs as necessary. Will be required to complete development, learn processes, research, and suggest improvements. Assist in defining, testing, and maintaining developed solutions. Primarily using proven Dynamics AX (X ), and preferably (or to learn over time T-SQL, C#), with the ability and willingness to learn and self-teach other technologies as needed (ASP.NET, JSON, REST APIs, standalone projects built on SOC such as Raspberry Pi, etc.)

Duties and Responsibilities:
This list is not comprehensive but meant to represent the most common or important duties of the position. Other duties are required and/or assigned.

  • Participate on a team as the lead subject matter expert for technical configuration, enhancements (customizations), data import/export, interfaces, migrations, business analytics/reporting, and workflows to support implementations or upgrades of D365 Finance and Operations.
  • Lead and document design sessions to ensure business process requirements translate into technical requirements, including user stories, use cases, design specifications, business process, data flows and acceptance criteria.
  • Review, analyze and solve complex technical issues within the application maintenance and support process for AX and D365 deployments.
  • Develop enhancements using appropriate best practices, establish interfaces, convert, or migrate data, and develop reports using Power BI.
  • Analyze client requirements and develop business analytics architecture using PowerBI and Azure tools.
  • Present and educate users on best practices for technical issues or questions.
  • LCS, DevOps, Azure instance management and deployment
  • Power BI and Power BI modeling
  • Azure business analytics tools including Data Lake, Analytics, Data Factory, Data Warehouse, Synapse, SQL, and Power BI Paginated (SSRS) reports

  • BPM/RSAT

  • Data entity store publication

  • Custom API approaches including AIF
  • Data and Customization Migration toolsets
  • C# development projects
  • SQL Server (T-SQL) needs: ad-hoc reports, application queries, stored procedures, etc.
  • Experience with ERP software, preferably Dynamics AX/ D365
  • Any projects requiring programming/development, regardless of technology used
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; professional certifications a plus. We would consider a 2 year degree.
  • 3-5 years of education and/or experience required
  • Must be self-motivated and multi-task oriented with the ability to learn new concepts and job requirements quickly.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical information, decisions, and approaches to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, vendors, non-engineers and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Maintains a valid Driver’s License.

Physical: Must be able to use computer equipment, exerting up to 40 lbs of force occasionally and or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects, kneel, reach, push, pull and lift for sustained periods of time. Must be able to stand, walk sit and type of long periods of time.
Exposure to moderate noise level.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Knowledge of IT, modern business communication, office procedures and methods. Must be able to work with other departments and AMT employees. Must also be able to work with clients, vendors and 3rd party suppliers. Ability to establish priorities, work independently with minimal supervision, and facilitate teamwork.
Equipment Used: Telephone, computer, other office equipment as needed.
