Applied Materials is Hiring a Production Planner I - (B1) Near San Jose, CA

Key Responsibilities

  • Performs Microsoft Dynamics transactions for all production activities.
  • Maintains production order release schedule that provides material on-time to manufacturing and engineering. Reschedules and/or completes no-charge, all discrete jobs as required.
  • Increases component availability at time of release by performing pre-shortage analysis. Assists with work order variance analysis.
  • Reviews weekly ERP execution and ensures accuracy of information; validates master scheduling and/or PDS requirements.
  • Participates in floor audits with Finance and resolves WIP issues. Attend production meetings and provides status on material shortage commit dates.
  • May change "make" level lead times in accordance with reality on the manufacturing floor.
  • May work with engineers to manage materials for special engineering projects.
  • Inventory Control – Analyzes usage data and stock levels to order parts to satisfy service levels; maintains inventory levels per plan and expedites shortages; assists in setting up new inventory systems or modifying existing systems, when necessary; assigns appropriate expediting duties to expediters.
  • Process Control – May participate in identifying root cause and corrective action from PCI reporting and metrics, or in cycle counting.

Other Requirements:

This position may require standing for extended periods of time, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, and the use of hand and power tools.

Additionally, because this position also may involve working in control environment, the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields may be required.

U.S. Salary Range:

$60,000.00 - $82,500.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
