The Role:

We are seeking an Ecommerce Product Specialist to help organize and optimize products on our ecommerce websites: Hotmelt.com, Gluegun.com, Dispensing.com.

This role is responsible for all product display pages and product listing pages, ensuring they are accurate, up to date, optimized for SEO, and meet the needs of our customers. This requires continuous learning about various adhesive product categories and related industrial applications through a combination of internal training, independent research, and coordination with subject matter experts within the organization.

Ecommerce is a new function within APPLIED Adhesives. We are in the early stages of product information management. You will work closely with the Ecommerce Director to implement systems and processes for managing product information, streamlining bulk updates, and sharing product information throughout the organization.

This role is suited to someone who is a self-directed learner, exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys collaborating across departments.

This is a remote position, but you must live in the Twin Cities, MN. area to be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Information Management: Ensuring product descriptions, images, videos, specifications, attributes are complete, accurate, and up to date. Assisting with internal PIM implementation.
Online Merchandising: Creating and optimizing product listing / category pages and product display pages on the ecommerce sites to help visitors find products to suit their needs.
Market Research: Conduct research into products, categories, and customer applications to inform merchandising decisions. This includes evaluating customer inquiries, competitor activities, and keyword search volume.
Pricing Management: Assisting in updating prices for products individually and in bulk. This includes periodically evaluating competitor pricing and profit margins.
SEO Optimization: Working to optimize product pages for search engines by including relevant keywords in product descriptions and titles to improve search engine rankings and visibility.

Experience and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven experience managing ecommerce products or other online information.
Solid understanding of digital marketing and SEO.
Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills required.
Experience with Shopify or other ecommerce platforms and
Experience with industrial or manufacturing businesses.
Bonus: Experience using or implementing PIM systems.
