Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Controller to oversee our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Complete month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Develop and implement internal controls to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and other financial metrics to support decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper accounting treatment of transactions and resolve accounting issues.
• Coordinate external audits and tax filings, including providing documentation and support as needed.
• Help manage and develop accounting staff, providing guidance and training to ensure high performance and professional growth.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
• Team player with a proactive and results-driven attitude.
