You will play a crucial role in delivering on Apple's privacy commitments to our customers. You will partner across our engineering, product, privacy and reliability organizations to deliver on data access, use, protection, minimization, retention, and other data governance execution areas. You will define, design, and implement data governance platform strategies for operational, privacy, security, and other related control areas.
Key Qualifications
Overall 10 years experience in data architecture, modeling and management, with deep exposure to privacy principlesAssist in the definition, documentation and development of mapping rules for movement of data from disparate data sources and into the various components and subject areas of the data governance environmentExperience in multifaceted landscape of data domains and systems such as Spark, Snowflake, Hadoop, Kafka, and other distributed data lake systemsAdvanced skills using one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, Javascript, bash, etc.), REST and RESTful services, hands-on experience with AWSDemonstrated ability to lead and build automation for multiple user experiences (mobile, web, desktop) as well as extensive API testing and documentation using OpenAPI and OpenTelemetryWorking experience utilizing CICD and observability concepts targeting streamlined production environmentsPossesses outstanding analytical and conceptual thinking skills, ability to influence partners and work closely with them to resolve acceptable solutionsMost importantly, a sense of humor and an eagerness to learn
Description
In this role you will develop data standards against solution requirements towards well structured, accurate, validated, complete, and consistent sets of data models, which will form the design and delivery basis for engineering teams. Responsibilities for this role are: - Build and maintain data modeling frameworks, templates, domain specific languages, and validation standards for models consistent with interpersonal. change standard methodology- Work with architects, engineers, analysts and data stewards on class, state transition, signal, and data interchange for conceptual, logical and physical use cases. - Establish data sourcing and quality rules and authoritative data sources with relevant taxonomies and ontologies to enable forward and reverse modeling - Promote strong data registration, data typing, identifier management, and storage formats at the warehouse and data lake levels - Achieve data provenance, lineage, and design traceability in relevant domains using version control, organizational change, CICD, linting and other strategies - Define and drive automation of data classification taxonomy for Data Compliance, Data Privacy, Data Hygiene, and Data Quality use cases - Develop our Master Data Management strategy, ensuring quality of critical data elements & finding opportunities to increase business value through data - Coordinate with Infrastructure Software Development for reporting of metrics and key performance indicators for all asset activities.
Education & Experience
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
