Overview:
We are seeking an experienced programmer for the Austin Memories team. Our team is part of the Design Enablement/Foundation IP organization within the CTO organization at NXP. We provide SRAM/ROM memory solutions to NXP SoC design teams across multiple business lines, both by designing and implementing memory compilers and by internalizing and supporting third party memory solutions.
Job Summary:

• Develop and maintain our memory compiler generation and characterization code. (This flow is used to generate our memory CAD views, and include LVS w/device extraction, LPE, Mica/Spectre simulations, and liberty file generation.)
• Maintain existing Perl code base while migrating elements to Python over time and implementing new functionality in Python.
• Drive efficiencies in flow development to efficiently utilize Linux compute resources. Work effectively with IT to resolve issues impacting compiler flow (e.g., OS, network, tool changes). Support compiler migration to cloud compute centers when needed.
• Support releases of our memory compilers to our internal Python web-based system and to designSync and designPDM.
• Work closely with our Bangalore memories team on future flow and code development.

• Looking for someone who is self-motivated and driven to implement differentiating memory solutions for our customers. Needs a learning mindset and the ability to interact effectively with team members from different disciplines (circuit design, bitcells, layout, Verilog modeling).

Job Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• 10 years of industry experience required.
• Perl programming experience and familiarity with Linux is required.
• Python and TCL programming experience are strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Spice simulation, CAD views, LVS, LPE, and liberty files (nldm, ccsn, ccst, ccsp , lvf formats) is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
