Supervises and coordinates activities of crew workers engaged in transporting, loading, and storing household goods, materials, and products by trucks by performing the following duties.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assign the local crews their jobs from the local dispatch sheet.
• Locates and assigns loads to drivers and crew.
• Provides weight tickets to all customers, internal and external.
• Assists all local drivers in securing their CDL qualification.
• Assists the move coordinator in tracking shipments and preparing paperwork when necessary.
• Performs on-site job inspections on at least 10 percent of our jobs.
• Confers with supervisors of other departments to coordinate the flow of materials or products.
• Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
• Interprets job orders to workers and assigns duties.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
• Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
• Recruit drivers.
• Maintains end of month packing materials on hand and vehicle mileage reports.
• Contact maintenance departments for required repair work on shift.
• With department manager and appropriate staff personnel, studies operations where cost standards are not being met to determine causes and apply corrective measures.
• Apply company employee relations policies in all dealing with employees

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls.
• Valid drivers' license.
• Ability to operate forklift effectively.
• Proficient computer skills.
