applause is Hiring a Director of Delivery Near Sunnyvale, CA

The Director of Delivery will lead the delivery team across a portfolio of community-driven digital technology programs at one of our largest strategic accounts.

You’ll have a senior level position and a hugely positive impact in this role. Our portfolio of programs covers functional and payment testing, localization testing, User Experience testing, Hardware testing, a11y testing, Automation and AI/ML data collection. Each of these programs varies in size and complexity but all have a significant impact on shaping the digital experiences for our Client.

You will be responsible for the overall success of various programs, focusing on the customer relationship, financials, project deliverables, and resourcing and overall program health. You will also partner with the Client Partner to build trusted customer relationships and help grow the account globally.

Primary responsibilities

  • Work in a highly customer facing role to lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale, long term QA software and hardware testing programs that combine automation, manual testing, and crowdsourced testing components
  • Provide project management oversight for other Applause community programs such as accessibility testing, payment testing, localization testing, UX testing, and machine learning data collection
  • Provide oversight over project plans and schedules, tracking of deliverables, metrics and KPIs, managing issues and escalation process
  • Develop strong working relationship with the customer stakeholders and help identify areas for ongoing program opportunities
  • For testing programs, gather high level business requirements, define detailed requirements and process into effective testing strategy and delivery
  • Interact with customer stakeholders for business justification, funding, scope and timeline
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of our solutions/programs offering approaches,
  • Partner with the Client Partner to identify opportunities to expand Applause’s solutions within the account globally

What qualifications and characteristics are we looking for?

  • You have demonstrated success at managing multiple programs at large, global companies over an extended period of time
  • Experience with software testing either in development roles or leading QA teams
  • You have excellent client relationships skills which include the ability to proactively manage client expectations, recognize their needs, and can adapt to meet their changing requirements
  • You are a strong team player, but most importantly, a leader with an ability to breakdown silos and win the respect of colleagues across all functional areas
  • Not only do you have strong communication skills, you demonstrate a confident executive presence
  • Bonus points for certification in areas such as scrum master, SAFe, Project/Program Management

Salary range for this position is included in accordance with current state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, experience, and performance in the role.

Base Salary Range: $130,000 - $170,000
