As a Solutions Consultant for Insurance solutions, you will actively drive and manage the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical adviser and product advocate. Using technical creativity and business acumen, you will illustrate the value that Appian’s Insurance solutions and platform can provide. You must be able to engage and articulate product positioning to both business and technical users in competitive scenarios. You will also rapidly identify all technical issues of Insurance solutions to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. 

To be successful in this role, you need:

  • Lead functional and technical discovery calls with the prospective customers and partners.

  • Design and deliver high quality techno functional demos for prospective customers.

  • Present technical and business aspects of proposed solutions to a C-Level audience.

  • Assist in the production of RFPs and other proposals to clients

  • Propose and build proof of concepts for new insurance use cases.

  • In depth understanding of Appian Insurance solutions 

  • Represent Appian’s Insurance solutions and product to customers and at field events such as conferences, summits, seminars, etc.

  • Experience working in an enterprise software pre sales position in the Insurance vertical (Business Process Management Platforms, Low Code Platforms, or Application Development Platform experience preferred)

  • Ability to strategically problem solve by thinking outside of the box 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; experience with customer interaction, requirements analysis, and presentations

  • Work with SC colleagues across the organization to provide the solution support for demo scripts, environments and customize solution demos.

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

  • 5 years of experience working in an enterprise software pre sales position in the Insurance vertical (Business Process Management Platforms, Low Code Platforms, or Application Development Platform experience preferred)

  • Willingness to travel 10% to customer locations throughout the assigned region
