The Appaloosa Horse Club is the official international breed registry for the Appaloosa horse. The Appaloosa Horse Club (ApHC) is a non-profit that was established in 1938 with a mission of preserving, promoting, and enhancing the Appaloosa breed. The ApHC has since registered more than 700,000 Appaloosas, which are known for their distinctive color, intelligence, and even temperament. True to their reputation as an extremely versatile breed, Appaloosas can be found in nearly every discipline, including racing, endurance riding, and serving as reliable family horses. The international breed registry is headquartered in Moscow, Idaho, the heart of the Palouse region—the Appaloosa breed’s namesake and point of origin.

Position Available: Immediately

Responsibilities:

• Processing incoming and outgoing mail
• Maintaining comprehensive and accurate records
• Answering phone calls in a polite and professional manner
• Welcoming visitors and identifying the purpose of their visit before directing them to the appropriate department
• Performing minor accounting duties, invoice follow-up, order and payment processing.

Qualifications:

• Strong writing/editing/proofreading skills
• Must have experience in, knowledge and understanding of the equine industry
• Must demonstrate excellent writing and verbal communication skills
• Must have: Proficiency with MS Office and publishing software.
• Basic understanding of office phone systems.
• Strong organizational habits
• Detail-oriented
• Quality-focused
• Great multi-tasking skills

Pay range D.O.E.
