Appalachian Regional Healthcare is Hiring a Workforce Coordinator Near Hazard, KY

Overview

The Workforce Coordinator within the Workforce Initiatives division plays a vital role in supporting the

organization in developing and coordinating strategies that are designed to ensure the sustainability and

excellence of our healthcare workforce. This dynamic role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities that

may include but are not limited to workforce strategy development, program coordination, partnership

development, data tracking and more.

This role may operate in a general and/or specialized area within the workforce division. Specialized areas

are immigration services and education/advancement program coordination.

Responsibilities

General Duties (applies to all workforce coordinators):

·Flex duties 

· Collaborate with the Workforce Executive to create and implement workforce strategies that

ensure the sustainability and growth of our healthcare workforce.

· Coordinate various workforce-related initiatives, working closely with relevant stakeholders

to ensure successful implementation.

· Provide marketing support for the department, promoting workforce initiatives and ensuring

they reach the target audience effectively, as needed.

· Continuously monitor workforce data trends, analyze labor market conditions, and gather

insights to inform strategic decision-making.

· Develop and implement initiatives to keep our healthcare system competitive in the market,

adapting to changing workforce dynamics and demands.

· Engage with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and partnerships to advance workforce development goals.

· Assess the effectiveness of existing training programs and make recommendations for improvements or modifications based on feedback and performance data.

· Collaborate with educational institutions and community partners to create a robust talent pipeline for the healthcare industry, including internships, apprenticeships, and educational partnerships.

· Maintain accurate records and prepare regular reports on workforce-related initiatives, including their impact and effectiveness.

· Other duties as assigned. Flex Duties (may be assigned to any of the Workforce Coordinators)

· Develop and coordinate engaging and informative career exploration modules to inspire and guide individuals interested in healthcare careers.

· Identify opportunities for expanding job training programs and assist with the development and execution.

· Collaborate with partner colleges on initiatives relating to student success and support.

· Collaborate with community stakeholders to connect employees, students and others as assigned with resources.

· Collaborate with community stakeholders to identify and expand resources available for workforce participants (current/future). Workforce Coordinator – Education & Advancement Programs

· Coordinate ARH programs related to workforce development and training.

· Conduct outreach to students and employees who are enrolled in an ARH supported program.

· Identify, recruit, coordinate, and provide career information to students/employees as needed.

· Assist and guides students/employees in developing employment and training strategies that lead to career-oriented employment.

· Provide outreach, job coaching and follow-up communication to students/employees.

· Serve as a coach and mentor to potential and current ARH team members by providing them with resources.

· Attend, host, and coordinate recruitment efforts as assigned.

· Work with local community action agencies to provide resources to students/employees.

· Provide pre-employment and post-employment services for students/employees.

· Provide follow-up services and resources to ensure retention in training programs and employment.

· Work with local colleges to identify pathways for students/employees. Workforce Coordinator – Immigration Services

· Works closely with Legal to ensure the process of recruitment, selection, employment, and any disciplinary procedures are done in accordance with all applicable immigration laws and regulations.

· Works closely with Legal to establish and refine the processes and procedures necessary to ensure effective flow of communication from the immigrant employee regarding documents

and information necessary for legal immigration process.

· Serve as a liaison between the immigrant employee and Legal with respect to obtaining information and documentation for the legal immigration process and entering such information into an electronic database.

· Communicate often with immigrant employees throughout their employment to ensure employee satisfaction and to provide updates as to legal immigration process.

· Provides immigration guidance and executes strategies, effectively communicates options and appropriate recommendations.

· Working with hiring managers and interview teams to ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly understood and candidates are assessed against appropriate criteria.

· Manages internal hiring and employee related systems related to immigration staff.

· Assist with identifying, documenting, and standardizing immigrant recruitment processes to improve efficiency and mitigate risk for the company.

· Assist with reviewing and analyzing the information and/or documentation of petitions/applications with appropriate U.S. government agencies.

· Acts as Concierge to Immigrant applicants and employees, assists with transportation, housing and community and hospital introductions.

Qualifications

Education

· Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, human resources, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Minimum Work

Experience

· 2 years experience in workforce or related roles within the healthcare industry. · Healthcare related experience preferred.

Required Skills,

Knowledge, and Abilities

· Strong project management skills and the ability to coordinate and execute initiatives. · Excellent communication and presentation skills. · Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to derive actionable insights. · Knowledge of healthcare industry trends and regulations. · Marketing experience is a plus.
