FULL-TIME ( 32 Hrs) RECREATIONAL/ACTIVITY THERAPIST

Apollo Behavioral Health Hospital, newly constructed in 2018 - state of the art facility conveniently located at 9938 airline highway in the heart of the city at the intersection of I-12 and Airline Hwy.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provides patient assessment/treatment
• Assesses new patients within 72 hours of admission
• Provides direct patient group treatment
• Dictates/writes progress notes for one to one and group sessions
• Provides comprehensive therapeutic activities consistent with each patient's Active Treatment Program

Skills Needed:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Should be able to work with multi-disciplinary team
• Must demonstrate leadership skills, dependability and able to work under stress
• Organized and self-disciplined
• Must have the ability to be assertive and tactful in interpersonal relationships for inter and intra departmental relations

Education/Experience/License required:

• Bachelor's degree in recreation therapy is preferred
• CTRS preferred
