The Department of Research and Translational Medicine is seeking a Senior Scientist, Non-Clinical Pharmacology/Immunology. This position will be a critical lab-based role designing and executing immunology assays defining the pharmacology of lead antibody candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently develop and execute of preclinical pharmacology immunoassays & models evaluating therapeutic antibody candidates
• Critically analyze and interpret data and make frequent presentations at internal and external meetings
• Help maintain CRO relationships and manage incoming data
• Develop and maintain lab best practices (data generation, reporting, safety, lab operations)
• Mentor, influence, and oversee junior scientists and research associates
• Author and review reports in support of IND filings
• Collaborate with scientists across different groups and functional areas to generate data to support programs in discovery and development
• Work collaboratively across the organization and manage vendors and CRO partners

Ideal Candidate

• PhD degree in immunology or related field with 2-6 years of experience or M.Sc. with 5-10 years of experience developing therapeutic antibodies
• Broad expertise developing complex in vitro and ex vivo immunoassays including, mixed-lymphocyte reaction, immune cell phenotyping, immune cell isolation and differentiation
• Experience with inflammatory disease therapeutics preferred
• Excellent management skills to prioritize activities to meet critical timelines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience setting up a new lab is a plus
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 8 times a year for company-wide meetings as well as Research & Translation Medicine team meetings
• This position is based in our lab/office in the Boston Seaport district, requires at least 4 days per week onsite
