APluscare is Hiring a Day Support Program Supervisor Near East Brunswick, NJ
Job Duties:
Oversee the day to day operations of the Day Support Center Direct Support Professional and Behavior Support Specialist
Maintain detailed client records and analyze program related data accordingly
Train staff, provide staff supervision, handle conflicts between Individuals, complete Individuals assessments, and treatment plans as well as program and staff performance reviews
Organize and lead regular staff meetings, and attend clinical and individual support plan, or ISP meetings as needed
Supervise, coach, mentor, inspire and guide Direct Support staff.
Ensure that the day support center environment is therapeutic and appropriate to meet individuals' needs
Ensure a consistent, rotational staff schedule that meets the supervision needs of the individuals and adheres to the budgeting requirements of the program
Facilitate group sessions utilizing a session plan developed prior to conducting the group. Document each Individual's progress during the group sessions.
Regularly monitor attendance (for the program staff and individuals), job performance, develop staff skills, provide timely annual performance appraisals
Facilitate conflict resolution and team building sessions, and present recommendations and corrective actions in order to effectively manage staff performance
Maintain 24 hours a day on call duties. (Flexible and able work the scheduled shifts alongside their team members, performing the functions of staff, both on a regular and as needed basis)
Responsible for collection and implementation of data daily and weekly programs for each individual in the assigned group.
Oversee and supervise the day-to-day operations of the Day Habilitation program as it pertains to program participants, staff and program site.
Provide direct supervision to the Day Habilitation Support Staff to include consistent support, coaching, training, and retention strategies
Conduct a monthly staff meeting and 1:1 supervisory support meetings as needed
Ensure safety and wellbeing of all individuals in the Day Habilitation program
Provide assistance and vocational instructions to each individual in basic activities of Daily Habilitation Services to include travel training
Provide training and support for each program participant in accordance with the Day Habilitation Plan and the primary care physician
Maintain program staffing as appropriate, in accordance to APluscare policies and procedures
Demonstrate safe driving practices when operating agency vehicles
Follow the vehicle maintenance schedule for all program vehicles
Follow up with staff as needed for any vehicle related issues according to agency policies and guidelines
Monitoring and updating the vehicle trip logs, first aid kits, etc.
Ensure quarterly maintenance of fire extinguishers
Order office supplies as needed
Conduct monthly fire evacuation drills and record in fire safety log
Attend all in service training, and staff meetings
Ensure regulatory compliance by reviewing/ auditing pertinent documentation for QA and fiscal audits to include review of ISP checklists and van log/daily activity sheets monthly
Ensure staff training as per regulations
Ensure adequate incident reporting procedures as per regulations and agency policies.
Collaborate with appropriate employment team to ensure individuals are provided with employment opportunities
Conduct monthly support checks for staff in the community
Submit receipts, timesheets, and paperwork for payroll for individuals as appropriate
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in behavioral health, Health Care Administration or related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
Employee must cooperate with the licensee and department staff in any inspection or investigation
Employee must successfully complete and demonstrate proficiency in all areas of required training
