Summary:You’ll play a crucial role in preparing the foundation for us to build a customer intelligence model, which will help us build powerful data solutions for our clients. You’ll work closely with senior data analysts, data engineers, as well as business stakeholders to extract valuable insights from our data warehouse.
Location (Wilmington, NC / Austin, TX / Remote):
We have offices in Wilmington, NC and Austin, TX and while some positions need to be office based, we will consider remote candidates depending on their time zone.
Responsibilities:
- Report to the Director, Data Intelligence who will guide you through this internship and define the objectives for the customer intelligence model.
- Work closely with data analysts and engineers to understand the existing warehouse schema, data sources and limitations.
- Build models using analytics techniques and machine learning where required, to derive customer traits and trend indicators required for the customer intelligence model.
- Maintain clear documentation for future reference, including data modeling steps, assumptions, and sources.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong academic performance with a focus on data analytics, machine learning, and statistics.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and modeling, as well as SQL for querying databases.
- Understanding of statistical methods and their application to real-world datasets.
- Ability to perform hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and other statistical techniques.
- Working knowledge of supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques.
