Job Summary:

Under the direction of a journeyman Low Voltage Technician a Low Voltage apprentice performs skilled work in the installation, maintenance and repair of special systems, networks, copper cabling, fiber cabling and equipment on commercial and industrial projects. Duties include working with tools, installing self-supporting cable pathways, cabling, fiber splice terminations, Cat 6 terminations, relay panels, labor activities as assigned. Must keep all materials, tools, and equipment in an orderly fashion, always maintain a clean work area, demonstrate safe work habits and exhibit proper care of all tools and equipment. Assignments are received from, and the work is performed under the general supervision of journeyman level Low Voltage Technicians.
While construction experience is not required, we expect candidates to have some familiarity with hand and power tools. You must be able to follow directions, climb heights, travel, and be willing to help with any aspect of a project.
