Description

PURPOSE:

The Sheet Metal setup/ Operator is responsible for day-to-day execution of sheet metal fabrication to ensure timely completion of jobs, parts built to customer specification, and a safe workplace.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Setup and operate machines to make parts for APG to use in assembling cash drawers
• Maintain established quality levels and checks
• Maintain the equipment and work area
• Must have strong Communications skills
• Must be fluent in reading Auto CAD Drawings
• Must be a team player
• Ensure maximum utilization of equipment in the area and adherence to the schedule
• Support and enforce all Safety Program policies rules and procedures

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to stand for most of shift
• Ability to use measurement and inspection equipment as needed, calipers, rules and computer aided measuring equipment
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds consistently
• Communication proficiency, able to speak, read and understand English language
• Setup experience in one or more machines
• Setup experience in one or more press brake
• Proficient to read/use measuring equipment: tape measure, caliper, square, and understand mathematics to very job requirements, specs and maintain quality controls.
• Ability to work in a team

Requirements:

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent
• 2-5 years working experience in assembly manufacturing.
• Salvini experience a plus
•  Programming experience a plus

apg will be hiring (1) Machine Operator for first shift and (2) Machine Operators for second shift.
