- Provide children with diverse developmental experiences covering approaches to learning, social-emotional, language and literacy, cognitive and perceptual, as well as motor and physical development.
- Create an inclusive, multicultural learning environment through daily lesson plans and engaging classroom activities.
- Ensure constant, active supervision of all children in the classroom to maintain safety and facilitate positive interactions.
- Administer standardized screening tools to assess the developmental needs of children.
- Make appropriate referrals and ensure follow-up for children, including those with special needs, to access necessary support services.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including but not limited to lesson plans, Individual Education Plans (IEP), and Child Observation Record (COR), as required by regulations and organizational policies.
- Complete any additional tasks or responsibilities assigned by the supervisor
- An Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development or equivalent preferred
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential required.
- Previous Head Start experience preferred
