Apex Hospice is Hiring a Hospice Nurse Near Orleans, LA

Apex Hospice is now hiring RN's, LPN's, CNA's, MSW's, Clergy and others to join our growing team! We are nurse owned and operated.

Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Nurse to join our team. As a Hospice Nurse, you will provide specialized care and support to patients and their families during the end-of-life journey. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those facing terminal illnesses.

Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Monitor patients' condition and provide symptom management
- Educate patients and their families about the disease process, treatment options, and end-of-life care
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality

Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology knowledge
- Strong nursing skills with a focus on patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide compassionate end-of-life care
- Attention to detail for accurate medical documentation
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
