JOB DESCRIPTION :

The primary function of this position is to operate the filler machine, load cups and lids, and change product sealer rolls, as well as monitor the process to ensure proper function of the machine, in a timely manner, observing all safety regulations, ensuring all GMP and quality standards are met and to maintain the efficient flow of product through the production process.

JOB DUTIES :

• Obtain work schedule and daily production paperwork and prepare for operations.
• Operate filler machine utilizing the control panel, load cups and lids into the de-nester, replenish product sealing film rolls and perform flavor changeovers as needed.
• Monitor the fill levels of the product, measure and adjusts weights as necessary.
• Clear jams, make minor corrections and adjustments, communicate, and assist other production and maintenance personnel as required.
• Complete wash down of machine as necessary and at end of shift.
• Keep work area and storage areas clear, clean, and organized and place trash / non-conforming product in proper receptacles.
• Complete other related duties as assigned or directed by the Supervisor.
• At end of shift, complete all required paperwork, perform general housekeeping and clean-up as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

• Must read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform the job.
• Must have ability to follow verbal and written instruction.
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

• High School Diploma or proof of GED equivalent required.
• Must have skills recognized by management as essential to the maintenance organization generally supported by training, certificate of continuing education, or other documented evidence of keeping current with technologies.
• Must be able to stand and walk for periods of time.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

• Repeated lifting and bending.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Mechanical or manual labor over 75lbs.
• Able to withstand cold temperatures (35 45 degrees).

HOURS & WORKDAYS :

Normal Scheduled hours : 8-hour day assignments. Mandatory overtime hours and weekends when applicable.
