Aperio Global, LLC is currently seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to join our team in FT Meade, MD. As a Linux Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Linux-based systems and servers to ensure their smooth operation and optimal performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues, implement security measures, and drive process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor Linux-based systems and servers.
• Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux operating systems and associated software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
• Implement security measures and best practices to protect system integrity.
• Perform regular system backups and ensure data integrity.
• Monitor system performance and optimize resource utilization.
• Participate in system upgrades and patch management.
• Create and maintain system documentation, including configurations and processes.
• Assist in capacity planning and scalability efforts.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Relevant experience must be in the installation or maintenance of network or telecommunications equipment and/or using specialized test equipment and network analysis tools (e.g., network management software, data analyzers, BERTS and OTDR).

Requirements

• 4 years of experience as a Linux Systems Administrator with bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• 2 years with a master's degree in networking or related field
• 6 years of experience as a Linux Systems Administrator High school GED
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and command-line interface.
• Experience with system monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Familiarity with network protocols and concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
• Knowledge of system security principles and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Linux , RHCSA) are a plus.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and A certificates are preferred.
