What You’ll Be Doing:

The Senior Test Engineer will be responsible for manual testing and validation of APCON’s industry leading suite of network monitoring solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Writes creative test cases for our industry leading network monitoring solutions, which will include Hardware, Software and Cloud based products
• Executes verification tests during formal test release cycles
• Writes high quality bug reports and assists on fixing and resolution bugs
• Recreates customer reported issues and works with others to understand root cause
• Executes existing automation tests, and convert test cases to automation when possible
• Provides mentorship to new Team Members
• Be a relentless advocate for Quality at APCON

Qualifications and Requirements: 

• BSCS/EE/CE Degree and/or equivalent in training and experience
• 5 years’ experience in a software/hardware test engineering role
• Experience in formal software testing methodologies, including software development cycles, testing processes and standards
• Knowledge of IP networking and switching
• Experience with Python
• Experience with Linux systems preferred
• Experience using defect and test tracking tools
