JOB SUMMARY

Under the direct supervision of the Human Resources Coordinator, the Recruitment Specialist will be responsible for recruitment and talent acquisition activities within the organization, such as applicant screening, job fairs, special events, onboarding processes, and other activities to support the hiring and retention of employees. The Recruitment Specialist will participate in local events where our agencies are located, as well as job and career fairs to promote all opportunities. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

Job Postings:

  • Works with Human Resources Coordinator to ensure all job postings are current, relevant, and have active advertising opportunities attached.
  • Regular communication with hiring managers to understand staffing needs at all locations. 
  • Collaborates with the Marketing department to ensure all social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) include relevant employment opportunity promotions. 
  • Promotes job opportunities to internal candidates.
  • Reviews job descriptions to ensure information is current, and qualifications match expectations for the position.

Tangible Advertising:

  • Works with marketing department to create informational handouts and order company branded promotional items. 
  • Conducts and reviews research on engagement levels with printed and virtual advertising in our service area 
  • Travels to agency locations and promotes local employment opportunities to the community using printed advertising and in-person events.

Candidate Screening:

  • Completes initial applicant screening, conducts initial interview screening, and schedules interviews as needed on a day-to-day basis.
  • Works with agency management teams to determine scheduling needs and interest in candidates.

Data Collection and Reporting:

  • Develops reports, such as recruitment, staffing, and vacancies reports
  • Evaluates data to determine effective recruitment methods 
  • Produces reporting in regard to recruitment related expenses

Employee Retention:

  • Involved in retention activities such as employee recognition events.
  • Manage employee new hire and referral programs.
  • May conduct new hire follow up meetings and exit interviews 

Completes other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of sourcing, recruitment, interviewing
  • Working knowledge of HR legal compliance
  • Experience in employee record-keeping
  • Ability to support several business units
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to use Human Resources Information Systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people
  • Occasional lifting may be necessary when setting up for events 
  • Occasional weekend travel for events may be required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in business, management, human resources, or a directly related field of study
  • 2 years of work experience in human resources, sales, marketing, customer service, or related field

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, human resources, or a directly related field of study
  • Work experience in recruitment or screening and interviewing candidates
