Would you like an opportunity to grow with us? JOB SUMMARY:The Accounting AP/AR Clerk completes and coordinates the accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks. Provides financial information to the Accounting Manager & headquarters (HQ) by preparing reports and recommendations. Helps facilitate inter-department operations; formulates and administers action by performing the following essential functions personally. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Contributes to the Accounting team to achieve daily, weekly, monthly and annual department and company goals through strategic vision, inspiration and proper communication.
Communicates and collaborates with headquarters (HQ) accounting department and the US team verbally and written. Completes weekly projects as they are assigned.
Follows a system of internal assurances and controls for the department including, confidentiality, sound documented processes, accuracy, proper payment/refund of accounts. Ensures all business transactions are reasonable, appropriate, and necessary.
Processes accurate posting and classification of the daily payable transactions, refunds RMAs, researches and solves payment discrepancies, reconciles accounts and maintains accurate and comprehensive records of each day’s transactions.
Assists in monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
Prepares weekly and monthly reports for both internal and external purposes.
Participates in daily and periodic audits internally and externally. Provides support to auditors as needed.
Stays abreast of the latest ecommerce industry trends and technologies and develops planning to integrate into company’s operations to stay relevant and improve operational efficiencies.
Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by following existing and new legislation, adhering to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
Travels via automobile, train or aircraft domestically. Travel may be up to 2 times a year; duration may be up to 2 weeks.
Consistent attendance in compliance of the Aosom Attendance Policy and for the expected performance level of the above duties.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Read, write, and speak fluent English and Mandarin
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Highly proficient with computers and internet
Advanced MS Excel skill
Intermediate skills in Windows OS, Microsoft Outlook and Word
Strong attention to detail, thoroughness, and the ability to analyze information quickly.
Hard worker and team player who works well with all employees.
Maintain strict confidentiality.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
2-year college degree from an accredited university in accounting or related field of study; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2 - 6 years’ experience in above Essential Duties with a preference in the E-commerce industry.
ERP experience in an accounting function with a preference of Oracle ERP software
