The Archdiocese of Baltimore is seeking a PreK3 Teacher. The teacher is responsible for implementing daily standard-based lessons to support the students’ application of developmentally appropriate skills and concepts in all subject areas. In addition, the teacher will engage parents and colleagues in support of the curriculum as prescribed by the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

Essential Functions

• Implement lesson plans, utilizing techniques to motivate, challenge, engage and inspire students to think confidently and independently
• Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times
•  Integrate the use of technology appropriately and effectively into the curriculum
• Establish reasonable standards for student achievement
• Create an environment for a love of learning and intellectual curiosity to blossom
• Foster opportunities for children to grow in social and emotional development
• Develop and document daily lesson plans consistent with Archdiocese of Baltimore curriculum guidelines
• Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teachings of the Catholic Church
•  Interact effectively and respond to all parent communications in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner.
• Participate in faculty meetings, collaborative planning meetings, retreats, school committees, and in-service learning opportunities
• Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff and administration

Position Qualifications

• Degree in early childhood or elementary education
• MSDE certification in early childhood education or elementary education or the ability to obtain certification in one to two years
• Experience teaching at the early childhood or elementary level
• Catholic school teaching experience preferred
• Knowledge of the Catholic faith preferred
• Employment is contingent upon acceptable results of a state and federal background check, completion of VIRTUS Training, and completion of all necessary paperwork.
