Club Front Desk Representative For Anytime Fitness

Job Summary

A Front Desk Representative is a passionate individual who seeks to help members and guests improve their lives through health and fitness. This person is responsible for selling memberships, training services, managing the member and guest experience, and leading staff to work as a cohesive unit.

This role requires a considerable amount of self-motivation, leadership, collaboration, communication, and the ability to positively influence others.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales – a large part of the club manager role is centered around membership and training sales. Front Desk Reps must convert leads to members through daily follow-ups, relationship building, ability to empathize, and follow through. A personal training background isn’t required but the ability to speak to our training program and how to leverage our technology (Anytime Fitness App, body scanner, etc.) to support the growth of the training department is a must.
• Brand promoters – when you love your gym, others will too! The Front Desk Rep establishes relationships with businesses and influencers in the community to promote the brand through B2B marketing. This person helps coordinate and execute engagement campaigns, national marketing campaigns, and community outreach efforts using assets and operations created by the Anytime Fitness corporate teams.
• Team builders – leading a team and driving results through motivation and fun is a key part of being a Front Desk Rep. This person is hired to inspire team members by fostering a trusting and positive environment while hitting the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that drive success.
• Day-to-day operations – Front Desk Reps will be responsible for the daily club operational tasks such as running reports, using our club management software and billing provider to help with member management and engagement, lead follow-up, post to local social media accounts and club cleanliness.
• Culture creators – Front Desk Reps love creating an environment that inspires members and guests to share their positive experiences with friends and family. They deliver top-notch customer service and aim to improve the lives of each person they meet.

Job Requirements

Experience in the fitness Industry isn’t required, but great communication, soft skills and sales are. A good candidate is:

• 18 years or older
• Professional in appearance
• Focused on their own personal health and wellness
• Available to work flexible hours [mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends]
• Friendly, outgoing, and warm
• Genuine and honest
• Demonstrates a drive for results
• Technologically savvy
• Self-motivated
• Confident
• Good at managing their own time and schedule
• Has previous experience in customer service or hospitality
• Has excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Has strong time management skills
• Has skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in using computer systems and club/gym management software
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus
• Sales experience of some form
• Retail math knowledge
• Strong customer service skills
• The ability to effectively communicate with club members and team members
• Attention to detail is a must for office efficiency, member onboarding and cleaning
• Excellent time management skills

Duties:

-Cleaning the club. This portion of the job is not taken lightly and will be required at each shift.

- Selling club memberships and coaching packages

- Greet members in a warm and welcoming manner

- Answering phone calls and responding to member inquiries

- Providing information about club amenities and coaching options

- Handling member complaints or concerns with patience and professionalism

- Processing payments and maintaining accurate records

- Maintaining a clean and organized front desk area

-Creating in-club content for promotions, member recognition, member engagement and club culture.
