Anuvia Prevention and Recovery is Hiring an Addiction Counselor-LCAS Near Charlotte, NC

Anuvia is currently searching for a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist ACT

Classification: Full Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt

Department: Clinical Services

Work Location: 429 Billingsley Road

Reports To: ACT Team Lead

Supervises: N/A

Job Requirements:

  • Licensed as a Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) by the North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board.
  • Possession of a Masters degree in a human service field.
  • Minimum one year of full-time, post-graduate degree accumulated MH/SA experience.
  • Availability during flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Valid NC or SC driver's license required.

Essential Duties of the Job:

  • Provide counseling to individuals with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health issues.
  • Develop and implement specialized recovery care services emphasizing community reintegration.
  • Assist clients in building personal recovery skills and habits.
  • Organize and facilitate recovery readiness and relapse prevention groups.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of substance use and its effects.
  • Provide service coordination for assigned clients, including treatment planning.
  • Conduct ongoing assessment of clients' symptoms and response to treatment.
  • Educate clients on symptom recognition and management.
  • Provide problem-solving, skill training, and supervision for daily living activities.
  • Plan and prompt social and leisure-time activities for clients.
  • Provide on-call crisis interventions and serve as back-up after hours.

Administrative Duties:

  • Person-Centered Planning and plan reviews.
  • Documentation of services, incidents, and accidents.
  • Document mileage or other expenses.
  • Attend staff meetings and supervision as required.
  • Maintain proper attire and workspace cleanliness.

Professionalism:

  • Respond professionally to inquiries and follow-ups.
  • Maintain positive body language and attitude.
  • Demonstrate adeptness with phone and voicemail management.
  • Foster positive relationships with staff, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Present oneself professionally in conduct and appearance.
  • Exhibit tolerance towards diverse client backgrounds and needs.

Non-Essential Duties of the Job:

  • Adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate in maintaining a safe environment.
  • Seek supervision when necessary.
  • Maintain appropriate attire and workspace cleanliness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $51,260.00 per year
