Summary / Role Purpose

Join the Ansys Customer Excellence (ACE) team to drive customer adoption of Ansys solutions to achieve business success. Using your engineering knowledge, you will be part of a passionate, dynamic team that develops technical content portfolio to incubate, develop and transform Ansys userbase and continue grow their digital engineering competencies. You will work with Technical Instructors and content editors as well as ACE and R&D teams to develop Ansys Educational Service (ES) programs and training platform. This is an exciting opportunity to advance your technical knowledge & soft skills further while broadening the appeal of numerical simulation and Ansys products to a global market.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• As an expert in one or more Ansys products, develop commercial, customer-facing technical multi-media content including lectures, tutorials, learning pathways, study guides, tips & tricks, assessment libraries and certification programs
• As a content owner, lead, coordinate & perform all activities throughout the content life-cycle
• Continuously improve customer satisfaction and grow learning consumption over time
• Plan and manage content development projects to maximize efficiency, productivity and utilization of available resources
• Integrate known best practices and new Ansys product features in the technical content in close collaboration with product development, ACE subject-matter-experts, Ansys Partners, and our Technical Trainers
• Support technical instructors to conduct various learning activities, including assist teaching, support online community learning in ALH and hosting additional learning sessions to drive user engagement and effective learning in ALH
• Contribute to strategic projects as needed by team, including but not limited to infrastructure development & maintenance, business operations, as well as Ansys field and digital marketing activities related to the ES program

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

• Required education background: Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, or another communications-related field or in Engineering with a strong writing ability
• Required education and years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BS 2, MS 0
• Demonstrated use of relevant Ansys software or knowledge of other commercial CAE, CAD, EDA, PLM software packages
• Logical problem-solving; strong interpersonal and communication skills; fluent in writing and speaking English
• Strong organizational and time management skills; possesses a sense of urgency; projects a professional image and demonstrates business acumen
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and apply new approaches or technologies that have a positive impact on the customer experience
• Experience with handling multiple competing priorities and taking ownership of projects to drive them to completion
• Driven to succeed; a proactive self-starter and excellent team player; willing to offer support where needed
• Nonfiction writing experience, preferably technical
• Experience following a style guide
• Familiarity with HTML
• Exceptional attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Preferred education and years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BS 5, MS 3, PhD 0

• Working knowledge of content management and authoring tools (we use MadCap Flare)
• Working knowledge of HTML, particularly XHTML
• Working knowledge of source control software / practices
• Familiarity with JavaScript
• Writing experience within the software engineering industry
• Familiarity within aerospace and defense a bonus
